About LDB Studios
In my studio space, I am often inspired by the trees and landscape around me.
I love seeing vibrant colors in nature and capturing them on canvas! Some of my paintings of trees represent people in my life as though they are having a conversation. I was raised in a home surrounded by woods, creeks and ponds that I loved to explore and still do. The water, and oftentimes the trees, are portrayed in my work in thick, bold textures that are raised out from the canvas, sometimes appearing as growing and living out of the framed image. I sometimes use colors and brush strokes that are exaggerated boldly to visually connect with the mood of the painting. Wildlife, both domestic and wild animals, are some of my favorite subjects to work on.
